My students really loved your mystery box in Math Club today. We figured out the four colored boxes and the relationship between the number on the left and the green dots. However, we were a bit puzzled by how the right hand number affected the location of the green dots. Our conjecture was just a little bit off when we looked at the coordinates of the points. Ok, here's my first shot. The problem is I don't actually know what my mystery box is doing! I want to do (input+5)*(input-5) so if input=1, then it would be 6 * (-4) = -24. Edit the simpleFunction: you have "{" and "}" as grouping symbols instead of "(" and ")"
So the { } do nothing in a numeric expression. Got it.
